BARCELONA

Hi babes! We started this summer off with a trip to Barcelona and words can not describe how amazing and unforgettable this trip was. I have wanted to visit Barcelona for so long, especially after all the recommendations i got from my friends but honestly i would never think it would feel like a real fairytale. It was a very spontaneous idea and we spent there 3 days in total, which seemed to be just enough time for the main attractions.

View few minutes before landing at El Prat, so exciting !

We were very lucky as our accommodation was literally 5 minutes from La Ramba, one of the most famous streets in Barcelona as well as La Boqueria market which was HEAVEN on Earth! So much fresh and delicious foooooood. I mean, even if your not a foodie you just gotta see this when in Barcelona. So obviously, as we were walking past the market twice a day or more we would always stop by and grab a smothie, fruits or an ice cream - so many flavours, such a huge selection! Ok,lets move to another topic (sadly, but not really cause im talking about Barcelona).

After we checked in in our room and experienced La Boqeria, we had lunch at the place called 'La Castanya' also known as 'My Fucking Restaurant' that we accidentally found as we were walking down the narrow spanish streets. We headed to the beach after that which was approximately 20 minutes from there and the scenery was just stunning. During our stay in the city we were just randomly walking, enjoying being lost and i truly believe thats how you can get the real vibe of any place. We had to check out the art as well, even though most of the Barcelona buildings is art itself, so we headed to see La Sagrada Familia on our first night and it was just WOW. It was evening already and it was not lit up as we were walking towards the catedral from the subway, then we (by we i mean i) realized thats the back of it haha. Anyways,it was just as beautiful as from the front. We were mostly discovering Gaudi's masterpiece on our 2nd day and it might be my new favourite artist. We were so blown away by Casa Batllo that we decided to buy a coffee at McDonalds across the road and were staring at it for almost and hour and i almost cried haha. Its the shapes, the colors and all the patterns and details combined...idk, love at first sight.

Later on that day, we bought a fresh salmon and prepared it in the apartment along with wine from the supermarket, which is by the way way more cheaper compared to UK,and so much tastier.

I might have salmon in my mouth thats why my cheeks look so chubby :P

Famous Park Guell, located  on the hill offers an unbelievable view and we happend to be very lucky again because on the time we booked our tickers ,the sun decided to shine and the whole Barcelona just got brighter.

The Magic Fountain of Montjuic - water / lighting choreography to music of all genres.

We discovered one of the best restaurants in Barcelona according to the locals called 'Pizzas l'Avia Restaurant' and couldnt do anything other than agree - such a warm and friendly environment, almost felt like we were invited to someones home for a dinner! Freshly baked bread, whole bottle of Cava - traditional sparkling wine from Catalonia (tasted like something between wine and champagne) our mains, which was Paella the first night, other night we tried pasta and bacalhau (cod fish) plus some deserts at the end - creme barcelona and tiramisu! Definitely recommend this place, because we never paid more than 20 euros for two so it was really budget friendly!

Is he that big or the door that small? :D

Last day was mostly chill, coffees, pastry shops, souvenirs and present shopping. We also rented bikes from 'Green Bikes' and went to explore Barceloneta beach and spent the rest of the day on the beach sunbathing and swimming in Mediterranean. It was a well deserved time off for us after successfully finishing our 1st year at the uni. We had such a blast. I love traveling so much!!
 Babe was cold :D

Duck store, soo cute

Hope you liked the pics, there is so much more i would share, but the best would be to see it on your  own eyes!

 Love, M.
