THAILAND: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Hiii everyone. I made a decision to transfer back to Blogger after using Wix for couple of months. I'm uploading some old posts that were published on Wix, but bare in mind some might be irrelevant for the season. Anyways if you are reading this i hope you'll like it regardless.

They say if you have never been to Asia before, Thailand is that perfect country to begin with as it is already very safe to travel to, locals are kind and friendly and weather is amazing all year round. So I went and here is my honest experience.

Everything was so cheap.

As a first-timer I packed so many things 'just in case' but really I ended up coming back with them or throwing them away. There is no need to bring anything extra with you because chances are you will find everything in Thailand except for it will probably be much cheaper. I even brought few paper plates and plastic bowls and cutlery because I wasn't sure where we'd eat but I found the same set in one of the small corner shops in Phuket for 1/3 of a price.

Once you are there, you'll find cheaper supplies like this, sunscreens, food, clothes. Even accommodation is incredibly cheap. The most expensive part of this trip will probably be the flight ticket to get you there.

Cables everywhere!! :)

Heavenly food.

Well...This is a chapter on it's own. It is a well known fact that Thai cuisine is delicious. I already loved Curry and rice noodle recipes before coming here. But let me tell you this trip would be worth it only for the food because damn, it was tasty. :D Street markets are popular and safe choice with endless options. Prices start at about 80baht for Pad Thai which equals more-less £2. Fruit tasted insanely good. Like out of this world good - really, you have never had mango if you have not tried it in Thailand. So, we ate our every meal out and all my concerns about my stomach getting upset were pointless.

There is also an option to try various types of fried insect which i gladly skipped. :P

Weather was incredible.

That is of course if you love hot and humid conditions. I personally LOVE it, summer is my favourite season so i didn't mind temperatures reaching 38 degrees on some days.

No visa or vaccination required.

One less trouble when booking such exotic holiday is not having to think about visas. All stays under 30 days don't require a visa in Thailand which is always a plus. Another advantage is that you don't need any vaccination. Thailand has become such a popular destination that even it's most abundant places wouldn't probably require any sort of vaccination nowadays.

Breathtking nature.

What i really enjoyed about Thailand was its diversity. One day you are sunbathing on its beautiful beaches, next day you are diving in between the ocean caves and the next you can find yourself in a jungle, hiking to the mountains to see a statue of a Buddha, rewarding you with a breathtaking views afterwards. There's plenty of options for everyone.

Each island has a different vibe.

When planning a holiday don't forget to take into consideration that each island can provide a different experience and you should make sure to do your research so you can experience the holidays of your dreams. We visited two island - Phuket and Phi Phi Island and they were both quite different. Phuket is a lively place with plenty of nightlife but also lots of families - depending on what part of Phuket you choose to go to - again research is the key. Phi Phi island is small and ideal for people looking to relax in crystal clear waters.
